Environmental radiation monitoring with a Geiger-Muller counter and gamma-spectrometer

The work aims to represent the importance of monitoring background radiation on present in the environment. It also represents different types of radiation and explains how Geiger-Muller counter and gamma-spectrometer work, radiation effects on biological objects. It discusses how developery countries treat rdiation and gives information about global radiation network, as well as about radiation monitoring data collected in Georgia. The following work includes data analysis of Geiger-Muller counter (GMC 300+) installed by me in Kutaisi city. While working we analyzed different soils from Georgian cities and villages, researched spectrums and proper conclusions were done.
