This master thesis is about one of the popular topic of nowadays - Big data processing and analysis, Speed-oriented methods. Since, in today’s world in many fields, such as banking and financial, shopping or social spheres, has accumulated large number of data, there are some questions about how to process and analyze such a big amount of data, what is the key technologies today for working with that data, how much do they cost, is their speed and performance good enough for purpose that we need? In this thesis we discussed most actual technologies for working with big data. We compared relational and non-relational database models and talked about the advantages and disadvantages of them with big data. Also we did some speed and performance evaluation comparisons on different size of data and different type of queries using Microsoft sql server and MongoDB.
