DNA ejection from phages. Viscosimetry
Author: salome chinchaladzeAnnotation:
The microbial resistance to antibiotics is a big burden for the health care and public safety of the modern world. The use of bacteriophages for therapeutic purpose, e.i. phage therapy is considered to be one of the alternatives of antibiotic therapy. To study the mechanisms of interaction of bacteria and phages, we decided to describe the physics of ejection of DNA from phages and we studied how the viscosity was changing. The result shows that the viscosity of solution, during the DNA ejection from phages , increases.
