Despite the increased influence of urbanization and anthropogenic factors (cattle grazing, monoculture, illegal collection of flowering plants for commercial purposes) at the border of the 20th -21th centuries , the study of the flora of Tbilisi surrounding remains insufficient today. Despite the more or less plenty of studies of the flora in the surrounding of Tbilisi, the sintaxonomy of this area is still not well investigated. The uniqueness of species diversity in the surrounding of Tbilisi is due to the crossroad situation of various phytocommunities of different regions of the western Palaearctic (Mediterranean, Euro-Siberian, Irano-Turanian and the Caucasian regions). The local hemithermophilous coenosis is committed of georgian oak (Quercus petrae subsp. iberica), hornbeam (Carpinus orientalis) and more arid one - of shybliak (Spiraea hypericifolia and Paliurus spina-christi). The present study of the flora of Tbilisi surrounding, conducted by the author, is the first of its kind, the purpose of which was to identify the species diversity of ephemeral plants and their chorology across different types of plant communities. It’s natural in my research we used the necessary data according to the literature of the second half of the last century and made the certain comparison to the same literature data regarding the following chapters versus time the beginning of the 21st century. The present study consists of: preface, a literature review, descriptions of the data obtained in the process of research by the author and a conclusion. In addition, 3 tables are given: table 1 with indication of ephemeral plants species diversity; table 2 shows the distribution of ephemeral plants in various habitats around Tbilisi revealed by the author in the process of research; table 3 shows the distribution of ephemeral plants in various habitats in the vicinity of Tbilisi, based on literature data.
