Annotation:
The paper describes the species composition of fungi causing hazelnut culture disease of the western Georgia and study effective means of their control in the laboratory terms. Several chemical and bio medications have been tested against identified fungi. The work consists of the introduction, literary review and experimental part, which includes 4 chapters, conclusions, bibliography. The paper presents timetables and original photos. Topic actuality: Hazelnut is one of the important cultures of Georgian agriculture. This sector significantly determines the main part of population and country revenues, because a large portion of the crop received has a purpose of exporting. Fungal diseases are very influential on the quality and yielding of the hazelnut, which significantly reduces the quantity and quality of the harvest received. Tasks and goals: The purpose of the study was to study the species composition of fungal diseases associated with the hazelnuts of the western Georgian and study effective means of their control in the laboratory terms. Subject of research: The subject of our research is pathogenic fungi revealed on the hazelnuts (Corylus). Object: The subject of our research is hazelnut (Corylus). Key Results: Pathogenic fungi caused by the disease was revealed in three regions of western Georgia (Samegrelo, Guria and Imereti Regions Municipalities) and we have studied effective means of their control in the laboratory terms. Innovation: In the state catalog of pesticides allowed for use in Georgia to conduct chemical fighting measures, there are no registered drugs on the important diseases such as: Phomopsis sp, Pestaloipsis sp. The following chemical preparations have been tested in laboratory conditions, such as: Dynali, Quadris Max, Bravo . For the first time, the biologic drug is tested - Phytosporin, Antiwar. Against hazelnut disease, namely Pestalotiopsis sp, Trichothecium sp, Fusarium sp, Phomopsis sp .
